There are a few reasons why you might be interested in the wholesale abalone market. One reason is that you are interested in becoming stinking rich and you have had the wherewithal to do the research that has lead you to reach the understanding that if you have a share in worldwide wholesale abalone sales, you stand to make quite a tidy profit.
Another reason you could be interested in the subject of wholesale abalone is that you are a scientist, marine biologist, or conservationist who has noticed that as wholesale abalone markets have expanded over the years, the numbers of mature abalone required to maintain and perpetuate various species in healthy numbers has declined significantly, and you are concerned that if things continue this way, the worldwide wholesale abalone market and very thing that sustains it, the abalone themselves, will be headed on a collision course that no amount of Fish and Game Department corrective measures or well-intentioned abalone farming can correct.
